What do you mean, I’m not rich???

I read another article today about people that can’t make ends meet. It’s interesting though, these people are typically:

  1. Up to their eyeballs in credit card debtMoney
  2. Stuck in a very expensive mortgage, usually interest only or adjustable rate
  3. Living in California, or Florida, where houses our size are 300k or more!
  4. Shocked that all of a sudden they can’t pay their bills when gas goes up 50 cents
  5. Complaining about the government

Please don’t misunderstand me here. I know some people are really hurting, and some people just aren’t making much, and do budget well, so when they lose their jobs, it hits them hard. The people I’m fed up with are those that don’t manage their money well. They spend money on high interest credit cards, they live in giant homes they can’t afford, then they pick STUPID financing programs. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if we were leveraged that much on the debt side. I, as a taxpayer, do NOT want to bail these people out. People have to live with the consequences of their actions, and poor choices. The Lord knows I’ve done dumb things and had to pay for it! (Please don’t remind me in the comments…) However, when it comes to your future, and your family’s future, don’t be hasty. I know it’s not easy not having the nicest house, or the 120″ plasma, but live within your means, or get a better job. Or a 2nd job. Or steal.

Mr. Mortgage company. You sold people that can’t afford mortgages a home. You are stuck with the bad debt. Shame on you. DON’T EXPECT A GOVERNMENT BAILOUT.

Problem is, they’ll probably get it.

And now, on a lighter note!! Bryce was constipated (a side effect of now eating real food), so we took him to the Dr. Lael had to buy these little wax plugs that go there. No, not there….THERE. Yeah, down there… They worked, a little too good! Now it’s runny, all the time. He was crying when he was poopin’, cuz it hurt a bit. Not any more! Ahhh, the joys of parenthood.

dude, cora had that problem and we had to give her melting suppositories. the first time, i was like, WHA?!?! but then it got really easy. once we had to put in like 10, one right after the other, because she kept poo-ing just the suppository out. but she hadn’t gone in like 3 days and had stopped eating, so… yeah. we also had to limit her dairy. anyway, we don’t have to do it anymore, but parenting… things you don’t expect!

I agree w/ all you had to say. I have lots of problems w/ those who expect to be bailed out of their own bad choices. their are too many people who need to grow up!

Thanks for the Steve Smith vid…gotta go practice:)
