Time to Come Clean

April 1, 2008 1 comment

We’ve fielded enough phone calls for one day. What Lael thought would be a groaner of a joke on April Fool’s day ended up tricking more people than we thought it would. She updated her status on Facebook, and obviously, I posted on the blog here that we were expecting. Well, we aren’t. Someday we will have some great news, but not today. Next year, we’ll have to come up with something a little less exciting. Maybe I’ll get a tattoo, or Lael will break her leg in a horrible washing machine accident, or Brielle will finally learn to ride her bike at three years old, or Bryce will finish his dissertation. I don’t know…we have a year to figure something out. In the meantime, here are some incredible pictures of thunderstorms I found online. Much like the one that flooded the carpet in the entryway of the office I work at yesterday. True story. Thank goodness for a rock that held open the door and large trashcans so I could collect the water pouring into the doorway from the horribly engineered awning covering the main entry door that opens into the lobby area that now makes a SQUISH SQUISH sound when walking upon it.

Monday Songs of the Day

Today is a day of celebration.  As such, I have some happy songs today.

The first song is a dance song by the artist Kaskade.  Very melodic chorus.  Called “Be Still”, it’s all about love baby.

The second song is a Good Charlotte song called “Beautiful Place”.  Even though our hearts aren’t as dark as the rain today…it’s still a cool song.

And just cuz it’s such an awesome day, the third song is called “Everything is Beautiful” byStarfield the modern rock worship band Starfield.

Well, we have an announcement. The third Nafziger is on its way! Due in late December (Hopefully before the new tax year!). It’s exciting. A little unexpected, but exciting nonetheless…
